+ How does bouldering work?

Bouldering is climbing without ropes over safety mats. Your goal is to climb from the start of a route to the top.

  • The start and top are marked by colorful triangular cards attached next to the handles.
  • The color of the triangle indicates the difficulty level of the route.
  • To start, place both hands on the start handle (there may also be two start handles).
  • To climb a route, make sure you only touch holds that are the same color as the starting hold.
  • You can also use "volumes." They are included in almost all routes. Volumes are made of wood (like the walls) and can be recognized by the holes for the holds.
  • To finish the route, place both hands on the finish handle.
  • When you reach the top, use the large descent handles to get back down safely.
    Don't just jump down!

+ Are there any rules?

  1. No running on the mats.
  2. Don't just sit on the mats.
  3. No climbing without climbing shoes.
  4. No climbing shoes in the restrooms, changing rooms, or café.
  5. No food or drinks on the bouldering mats.
  6. Zudem gelten unsere AGB, mache dich bitte vor deinem Besuch mit diesen vertraut.

+ What do I need to bring with me?

Bequeme Kleidung ist alles, was du brauchst. Kletterschuhe und Chalk kannst du bei uns leihen (Info hier).

+ Are children allowed to boulder at your facility?

Auf jeden Fall. Wir haben zwei spezielle Bereiche für Kinder im Alter von 3 bis 7 Jahren. Kinder im Alter von 8 Jahren können bereits im Blocland klettern, welches mit den Erwachsenen geteilt wird. Bist du schon über 14 Jahre alt? Dann darfst du gerne selbstständig in unserer Haupthalle klettern. Entweder mit deinen Eltern, einer anderen volljährigen Aufsichtsperson oder alleine mit der schriftlichen Erlaubnis deiner Eltern. Bitte bringe die entsprechenden Formulare ausgefüllt mit. Kindern unter 3 Jahren ist aus Sicherheitsgründen der Zutritt in unsere Halle nicht gestattet Mehr Infos zu unseren Kinderbereichen gibt es hier.

Do you have lockers?

Yes. You can either bring your own padlock or borrow one at the counter for a deposit.
